Job Description

Rizzoli Bookstore is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and customer-focused bookseller to join our team part-time for the holiday season at our landmark store at 1133 Broadway in New York City. This is a part-time, on-site role at 24–30 hours per week, paying $17 per hour.

The role includes customer assistance, shelving, merchandising, register management, and event setup. Please note that bookselling is an active, hands-on job that involves standing for the duration of the shift, shelving books, and lifting boxes.

We are looking for someone with

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A strong interest in arts and culture
  • Knowledge of architecture, interior design, and fashion is a plus
  • Bookstore or publishing experience preferred
  • Confidence using both PC and Mac
  • A professional and confident phone manner
  • Weekend and evening availability
