Bookstore & Bookshop Jobs in NYC

NYC bookstore jobs cover bookselling, events, buying, and retail management at independents, chain stores, and specialty shops across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and beyond. Roles range from floor bookseller and barista-bookseller hybrids to events coordinator, buyer, and store manager.

Independent bookstores often hire for evening and weekend shifts; larger retailers and museum shops may offer full-time schedules with benefits. Experience with customer service, handselling, and community events is frequently valued alongside a love of books.
