  • Manage campaign media outreach and follow-up with consistency and attention to detail
  • Oversee book mailings and distribution of assets to media contacts
  • Research new outlets and develop targeted, thoughtful media lists
  • Contribute to and manage content for Pacific & Court’s social media channels
  • Write original, engaging, and SEO- and GEO-friendly content for the company blog and monthly newsletter
  • Identify and research potential clients within the publishing industry
  • Contribute to lead generation strategies and broader company growth initiatives
  • Provide additional publicity and marketing support as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in book publicity
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, both internally and client-facing
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate needs
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Genuine interest in nonfiction books, publishing, and the media landscape
  • Actively engaged with print, digital, and broadcast/podcast media
  • Willingness to learn and utilize publicity platforms such as Cision and Qwoted
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and social media platforms

Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience (range: $50,000–$60,000)
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunities for professional development and advancement within the company
  • Performance-based annual bonus

Application process
